David Williams

Non- Executive Director

David joined the team in June 2022.  He is a long-time advocate of loss recovery insurance, believing the industry could better handle claims from the customer viewpoint.

Previously David was Managing Director, Underwriting & Technical Services at AXA Insurance. During his time with Axa he held roles including Reinsurance Manager, Casualty Insurance Manager, before moving to lead AXA’s Personal and Commercial Claims teams.

David is a regular speaker at conferences across the UK and Europe. He has appeared on the BBC Breakfast, Channel 4 News, and Radio 4’s ‘Today’ Programme, being interviewed on claims and other topics across the insurance industry.

He won the ‘Insurance Personality of the Year’ Award at the British Insurance Awards, as well as awards for Claims Achievement and Social Media Influencer.
