At the Modern Claims Awards, the market acknowledged the amazing contribution that David has, and continues to make, to the insurance industry. David is known to many for his 40-years at AXA, but it was never just about AXA for David, his involvement in the industry goes across all claims matters. This includes being a founding member of the joint CII / CILA Faculty of Claims, and lobbying on all sorts of claims matters, highlighting issues with personal injury compensation and other problems with Property and Motor Insurance. David has been Chair of the ABI Motor Committee & Autonomous Driving Group, a Vice President of the Chartered Insurance Institute Nationally, and was Chair of the CII Underwriting Faculty for almost a decade.  He is now Chair of the Fire Protection Association (FPA) where the focus on building safety & mitigating losses, particularly following the Grenfell Tragedy.
